NOTE: This is an excerpt from an email that I sent the content below to a distribution list of people I think are interested in the topic of ICCC mountain bike racing in Colorado.  I hope to encourage discussions on this forum.  If you'd like to be on the distribution list, please email me: jimm100 at hot mail dot com (no spaces, replace the “at” with “@” and “dot” with “.”)

RACING THOUGHTS: Howdy and welcome to the new year of ICCC mountain bike racing!  Here are the highlights of what is coming up for mountain bike racing in Colorado.  I’d like to get some discussions going on the http://christiancycling.com/fo…../colorado/ web site, so I will post this email there and I invite you to go there to keep the conversation going.   That will provide a place for all to keep up-to-speed without flooding Inboxes.

The Mountain States Cup kicked off in Colorado Springs last weekend and the next round is coming up soon.  If you want to check out the MSC series, browse here: http://racemsc.com/

The Rocky Mountain Endurance Series kicks off this weekend in Pueblo:  http://www.warriorscycling.com…..series.php

Signup for the Winter Park Series opens on May 1.

Personally, my mtb race season is starting with the Gunnison Growler.  I know Paul McElroy is signed up for that

race, too.  Anyone else?  I’m on the waiting list for the Firecracker 50, entered in the Silver Rush 50, and will be racing the Leadville 100.  What are your plans?  Please share with all on the web site if you’d like to help build community.

I hope you’ve been training and are psyched about the upcoming racing season!

SPIRTUAL THOUGHTS:  This Thursday will be the approximately 2011th anniversary of our Lord having Passover with the apostles in the upper room on the night before He was crucified.  Hopefully that got a “Whoa!” of a response. He knew what lay ahead.  So what did He do?  He rode a donkey into Jerusalem (the Triumphal Entry – John 12), washed the disciples feet, instituted the Eucharist, prayed in Gethsemene so fervently He sweated blood, was betrayed by Judas, denied by Peter, tried for crimes He did not commit, flogged, then

crucified.  He was the Passover lamb for the entire world!

Easter service this Sunday.  Have you invited a neighbor or friend?  There’s still time!

The service at Fiddlers Green / Comfort Dental amphitheater should be wonderful – features Nicole C Mullens (Christian singer).  Doors open at 9am, begins at 10am, check it out here: http://www.chcc.org/sunday_ser….._2011.aspx

SCRIPTURE:

John 17:    20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.  24

“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.   25 “Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. 26 I have made you[e] known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you

have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”

Galatians 5:22 “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control.”
